Here is the whole stance. No summary, no fine print.
Coinsprout is an AI product for children, so we hold ourselves to the plainest possible promises. Everything on this page is enforced in code, not just written in a policy.
What we promise every family
COPPA-conscious by design
We built the product assuming every player is under 13. We collect the minimum, the parent provides it, and the parent controls it.
The parent owns the account
There is one login and it belongs to you. Kids do not have accounts, passwords, or emails. Child profiles live inside your account.
No chat free-for-all
Missions are structured choices plus one short typed answer about the story. There is no open text box, no conversation, no messaging of any kind.
No real money moves
Everything inside a mission is pretend coins. Coinsprout is not a bank, a card, or a wallet, and child mode will never become one.
No ads
No advertising, no sponsored content, no brand placements inside missions, ever. The AI is told the same thing in its rules.
No external links in child mode
Nothing a kid can tap leads outside Coinsprout. The AI's output is scanned for links and anything that looks like one is removed.
The AI never collects personal details
It is forbidden from asking for a full name, address, school, photos, or anything about where your child lives. If a kid volunteers a personal detail or asks a personal question, the AI does not repeat it and steers back to the mission.
Always age-tuned and kind
Every reply is written for the age band you chose, in warm language, with no fear, violence, romance, or adult topics.
A child is never shamed
A wrong choice is the lesson, not a verdict. The debrief says what happened and why, kindly. The rules forbid scolding, mocking, and the word wrong aimed at the kid.
Family data is private
We never sell or share it. You can export all of it as JSON or delete the whole family, permanently, from Settings.
What your kid sees versus what you see
Child mode and parent mode are separate rooms. Everything with a consequence is in yours.
What your kid sees
- Big picture buttons to pick a mission world
- A short scene, two choices, one typed question about the story
- Pretend coins and a kind debrief at the end
- A friendly nickname if you set one, nothing else about them
Not in child mode
What you see
- Progress per money skill and every debrief
- The weekly conversation starter
- Kids, plan, and billing in Settings
- Export as JSON and delete the whole family, permanently
Behind your password only
What we store and what we never store
- Parent email and a hashed password
- A nickname and age band for each child
- Mission results: world, choices made, the debrief and parent note
- Plan and billing status (card details stay with Stripe)
- A child's full name
- Photos of anyone
- Location, address, or school
- A child's email, phone, or any contact detail
- Free text used for training any model
- Behavioral ad profiles of any kind
When a kid types something personal
On one turn of each mission, the AI asks a short typed question about the story, such as "What would you name your lemonade stand?" Kids sometimes answer with something else: their real name, their street, a question about the AI. Here is exactly what happens.
- The typed text is passed to the model labeled as untrusted story input, never as an instruction.
- The safety rules forbid the model from repeating or confirming personal details. It steers back to the scene in one sentence, kindly.
- A second check on our server scans the model's reply for anything that looks like a link, an address, or a question about where the child lives, and replaces it with a neutral redirect line.
- The typed text is kept only as part of that mission's record in your parent account, where you can read it, export it, or delete it.
Nothing a child types is used to train any model, by us or by any provider we use. Read the full rules, rendered from our live code, on the How the AI works page.
