These terms are a contract between you and Coinsprout Inc. ("Coinsprout," "we," "us"), a Delaware C-Corp located at 175 S Third St, Suite 520, Columbus, OH 43215. By creating an account or using the Coinsprout website or service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Coinsprout.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add to your account. Coinsprout is designed for children ages 6 to 13 to use under a parent's supervision and within a parent's account. Children may not create accounts. If we learn that an account was created by someone under 18, we will close it.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account, including play by the children you add. Use a password you do not use elsewhere. Tell us right away at support@coinsprout.tech if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You must give us a valid email address and keep it current, because it is how we reach you about your account, billing, and safety matters. One person may hold one account; you may not share, sell, or transfer it.
3. Child profiles
You may add child profiles up to the limit of your plan. Each profile needs a nickname and an age band; please do not use a child's full legal name as the nickname. You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of each child you add and that you consent to the collection of their information as described in our Privacy policy. You agree to supervise your child's use of Coinsprout. You may edit or delete a child profile at any time from Settings, and deleting a profile permanently removes that child's mission results.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to allow anyone using your account to:
- Attempt to make the AI produce content that is unsafe for children, or to extract its instructions, by any means.
- Access, probe, or interfere with another family's account or data.
- Use automated tools to play missions, scrape the service, or exceed rate limits.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the service, including mission worlds and authored content.
- Upload or submit anything unlawful, or use the service in violation of any law.
- Impersonate Coinsprout or misrepresent your relationship to a child.
Good-faith security research that follows the rules on our Security page is welcome and is not a violation of this section. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Coinsprout offers a Free plan and paid plans, currently Family at $7 per month or $60 per year and Grow at $12 per month or $100 per year. All prices are in United States dollars and exclude any taxes we are required to collect, which will be shown before you pay. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; by subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal. If a charge fails we will retry and email you, and if it continues to fail your account moves to the Free plan. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; a price change applies at your next renewal after the notice period, and you may cancel before then. Free plan limits, including the number of children and missions per week, are enforced by our servers and may be adjusted with notice.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel a paid plan at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for; until then you keep your paid features, and afterward your account moves to the Free plan. Cancelling does not delete your data. You may delete your account and all data separately from Settings at any time. We may discontinue the service with at least 60 days' notice, in which case we will refund any prepaid, unused portion of your subscription and give you time to export your data.
7. Refunds
If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, email support@coinsprout.tech from your account email within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. After 14 days, charges are non-refundable except where required by law or where we discontinue the service as described above. Refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.
8. Not financial advice
Coinsprout is an educational game that uses pretend coins to teach general money concepts to children. Nothing in the service, including mission text, debriefs, parent notes, conversation starters, or blog posts, is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and none of it is tailored to your family's situation. No real money is held, moved, or invested through Coinsprout, and Coinsprout is not a bank, broker, or money transmitter. Decisions about your family's money are yours.
9. Intellectual property
Coinsprout, its mission worlds, characters, authored content, software, design, and trademarks belong to Coinsprout Inc. or our licensors and are protected by US and international law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the service for your family's private, non-commercial use while these terms are in effect. You keep ownership of anything you or your child type into the service; you grant us a license to store and process it to provide the service to you, and for no other purpose. Mission text generated for your child is yours to keep, export, and share within your family.
10. Disclaimers
Coinsprout is provided "as is" and "as available." Mission text is generated by language models inside rules and checks we have built with care, and we review flagged content promptly, but we cannot guarantee that every generated sentence will be perfect or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some states do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coinsprout Inc. and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of or related to the service, even if we were advised of the possibility. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or one hundred US dollars ($100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may seek relief in small claims court where eligible. Before filing any claim, you agree to email us at support@coinsprout.tech and give us 30 days to try to resolve it with you. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, together with the Privacy policy and Cookie policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about Coinsprout. We may update these terms; if a change is material we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change.
